11 Kansai railway companies collaborate with “Myaku-Myaku” – 13 new Expo commemorative goods – Limited-edition products with 7 JR companies also available

Eleven Kansai railway companies, including JR West, are collaborating to release 13 officially licensed merchandise featuring each company’s trains and “Myaku-Myaku,” the official mascot of the Osaka-Kansai Expo.

Different designs both inside and outside the venue

Other companies participating in the collaboration include Osaka Metro, Osaka Monorail, Kintetsu Railway, Keihan Electric Railway, Kobe Electric Railway, Sanyo Electric Railway, Hankyu Corporation, Hanshin Electric Railway, Nankai Electric Railway, and Nose Electric Railway. The merchandise will go on sale at the JR West Group Official Store located at the West Gate of the Expo site on August 15 (Fri), 2025. It will also be available for general sale at Osaka Metro commuter pass sales offices, select railway company in-station stores, and online shops from August 19 (Tue).

Three types of A4 clear files featuring Miyaku-Myaku dressed in station employee uniforms and each company’s unique Expo-themed train designs will be sold exclusively at the venue, and three types will also be available for general sale (priced from ¥550 to ¥880 each). Trading acrylic key chains, trading acrylic magnets, and trading cards will also be available. The designs and specifications of each item will differ between the on-site and general sale versions, so collectors who don’t want to miss out should plan their visit to the Expo.

Suica Penguin first collaboration with Miyaku-Myaku

Prior to these releases, a series of products featuring the first collaboration between Miyaku-Myaku and the characters of seven JR Group companies (JR Hokkaido, JR East, JR Central, JR West, JR Shikoku, JR Kyushu, and JR Freight) was planned. Limited-edition items are now on sale at the JR West Group Store inside the Expo, and general merchandise, which will be released sequentially from August 15 (Fri), will be available at JR companies’ in-station stores and online shops.

The pin badge set, housed in a special case, features a large gathering of characters from each company, including Icoca the Platypus, the Suica penguin, and Kamomaru-kun, surrounding a Myakumyaku. Two different sleeve designs are available both inside and outside the venue (15,400 yen each). The extensive lineup also includes stickers, acrylic stands, masking tape, square memo pads, and Nijiyura tenugui hand towels, and the cute expressions and gestures of each character are sure to whet your appetite.
