Japan Entertainment (Nago City, Okinawa Prefecture), which operates the large theme park “Junglia Okinawa” that opened in Nakijin Village, Okinawa Prefecture, will operate the “Junglia Express” bus that can access the park directly from major areas.
The park’s paid parking lot requires a reservation
Junglia, which will have its grand opening on July 25 (Fri), 2025, is a theme park that aims to be “immersed in nature,” recreating the scenery of “Yanbaru Forest” by taking advantage of the terrain of the former golf course site in the northern part of Okinawa’s main island. In addition to 22 attractions themed around dinosaurs and adventure that families can experience, the 60-hectare site will also have a concentration of restaurants and shops that use local ingredients. In addition, it will have a spa with the world’s largest “infinity bath” where you can become one with the spectacular view of the forest, and it is highly expected to be a new tourist spot in Okinawa that can attract visitors from both Japan and abroad.
Junglia is located about 1 hour 30 minutes by car from Naha Airport and about 30 minutes from Nago city, but there are concerns about traffic congestion on the surrounding roads. As a countermeasure, efforts will be made to limit the number of visitors by car by making the parking lot in the park, which costs 2,000 yen per car, a reservation system. In addition, the park has partnered with AEON Nago Store (Nago City), and park visitors can park for free in the rooftop parking lot of the store and choose the “park and ride” method, which does not require a reservation, by transferring to a dedicated free shuttle bus that departs in front of the store.
No transfers required by bus from Naha Airport and Churaumi Aquarium
The Junglia Express, which is convenient for those who want to use public transportation without relying on rental cars, operates 8 round trips from Naha Airport and 10 round trips from the prefectural office in the center of Naha every day, and takes about 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes. Another way to access the park from Naha is to board the Daiichi Marine Service’s high-speed ferry “Takuma 3” from Tomari Port and transfer to the Junglia Express at Nago Fishing Port to go to the park. In addition, there are 7-8 round trips from Nago City Hall and 3-4 round trips from Churaumi Aquarium every day, and each takes about 30 minutes to the park.
In addition, a bus exclusively for guests can be used from three hotels: Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa, Orion Hotel Motobu, and Kanucha Resort. All Junglia Express services require advance reservations (excluding some flights to and from Naha), and the fare is 2,500 yen one way per person for routes to and from Naha Airport and the city (adult fare, half price for children, same below), and 500 yen for other routes. In addition, Junglia has been added as a boarding and disembarking point for the AI on-demand transportation “mobi”, which can be called by app or phone, and guests staying at hotels in Nago City can use it as a means of transportation to the park.
