First collaboration with YOASOBI for limited-time train wrapping – Nankai “Medetai Densha” specially decorated – Station announcements planned

Nankai Electric Railway will be collaborating with popular artist YOASOBI on a specially designed train to coincide with their Wakayama performance on their nationwide tour, “YOASOBI HALL TOUR 2025 WANDARA.”

YOASOBI x Medetai Densha

This adventurous hall tour will travel like a caravan through 14 prefectures across Japan from July to November 2025, performing a total of 40 shows—YOASOBI’s most to date. The tour title embodies their determination to deliver a “wonderland”-like excitement to each venue, honed through their Asia tour that began late last year and performances in the United States and Europe. Nankai, which aims to revitalize the areas along its railway lines, is also working on projects involving local restaurants and other establishments to ensure the enjoyment of venues that cannot be reached. Nankai, which aims to revitalize the areas along its railway lines, explains that this passion resonated with them and led to the realization of this collaboration.

Based on the “Medetai Densha ‘Katana’,” a two-car 2000 series train currently running on the Kada Line between Wakayamashi Station and Kada Station, the train will be redesigned as the “YOASOBI Wondara Train,” featuring a specially designed design showcasing the world of YOASOBI. The train will run from September 23 (Tue/national holiday) to December 14 (Sun), and limited-edition posters will be displayed inside the train. A paid photo session will also be held at the Wakayama Depot from morning to noon on September 25 (Thu), 27 (Sat), and 28 (Sun), 2025, the days of the YOASOBI Wakayama performances.

YOASOBI-printed tickets will also be available

A one-day unlimited ride pass, the “Kada Line 1-Day Ticket” (¥1,000), and a set of seven admission tickets for each station on the Kada Line (¥1,500) will also be available in collaboration with YOASOBI. Both tickets will come with a special mount combining the tour’s key visual and the auspicious train design, and will go on sale from Wednesday, October 1st at major Nankai train stations and online shops. Advance sales of both passenger and admission tickets are scheduled for the Wakayama performance day at the venue, Wakayama Prefectural Cultural Hall.

Starting October 1 (Wed), special announcements by YOASOBI produced by FM802, with whom Nankai is currently providing a tie-up program, will be broadcast inside 28 stations, including Namba Station, Shin-Imamiya Station, Wakayamashi Station, and Koyasan Station. The announcements will continue until December 14 (Sun), but broadcast times will vary by station, and station announcements may not be made depending on the station’s situation.
